SRD Change Design 2008

SRD Change Design is an annual exhibition, promoting environmentally friendly designs by recent graduates. It specialises in showcasing industrial and product design works, and is run by the Society for Responsible Design. They build a new website each year to showcase and advertise the new exhibition, and Roger Ta and myself were behind the design and development of the 2008 site.

Because the focus of an exhibition is on it exhibits, we wanted to make them a prominent part of the page structure, which is why we included the exhibit images in the header. The eventual plan was to have each page load show randomly chosen exhibits, however due to time constraints this was not possible. For the overall theme of the site, we went for a recycled paper look to fit in with the environmentally friendly theme of the exhibit.
